I really do pity those children they are trying to normalize this global dystopia in the very young. It's one of the saddest things I've ever seen...

It is making me very sad, conflicted, and wanting to leave Bangkok. The purpose of the post was not to seek out the 'correct' response, for there isn't one. I just wanted to draw attention to the issue and start the conversation.

I don't know how we should deal with this. Hopefully (amongst the parents) sanity will prevail eventually. Although the damage has already been done to multiple generations of children growing up through this horror show and having their childhoods stolen from them as well as their futures fractured.

It's horrible. All over some vague notion that there was no Covid in Asia because of facemasks and some vague blame the dirty farang ideology that stuck. Who would want to live in that hellhole dystopia?

Bangkokians are stuck in a time-warp. It is as if they only just read the WHO scamdemic announcement this morning, and every other morning they wake up. The lifeblood of this city has been sucked dry, drained away.

I was thinking of starting a 'Thailand tyranny tracker' as a living document, to use a map indicating the businesses that are voluntarily enforcing masks and ATK testing before entry (yes there are several bars doing this still today).

What do you think? Maybe you could help collaborate by calling out establishments doing the same in Phuket - although it may just be a Bangkok problem...?

It sounds interesting! I have not been to a bar or nightclub enforcing ATK testing in Phuket but I tend to be a beachy person and the one closest to us (Nai Yang Beach) was very chill. It was the only place I could go during the height of mask madness in 2021 where the cops and park rangers were willing to look the other way as a lot of people ran the path. I'd have to go to Patong to see if anybody is still into that nonsense. I'm surprised those places still have customers!
