Thanks Nicholas... i enjoyed the video " The dangers of "willful blindness"

Such speaches always stir up conflicting emotions in me . Of course I admire people with the

courage to say what others won't ( for the reasons given by Ms. Heffernan . )

In that context... I will say that I also feel the emotion of futility . I won't bore the public with

personal experiences , but if honest I think that most people... even those who

really hate what is going on.... no matter how "brave" ..... will look at the risks involved , and weigh the probabilities of success or failure. And of course the consequences . Those who in the past faced such consequences might be even more hesitant.

We are not living in a Hollywood movie where the good guy rides into the sunset . Though I will admit to having some Cowboy dreams where i have just cleaned up the whole town

Well written and so true. Some of this consensus perception management also explains why the internet often dissolves into such an unthinking and banal space. Mob rules. Indeed part of the perception management was almost certainly the making of everyone into heroes for acting against their best interests early on...
